Bon Lin Elementary Trunk or Treat!!

Oct. 26th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Join us for a safe and fun alternative to trick or treating. PTA is hosting the annual trunk or treat at BLE in the main entrance parking lot. This free event includes decorated vehicles/parking spaces and trick or treating for our ghosts and goblins.
There will be music, a DJ, costume contests with prizes, and picture opportunities. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks. We hope everyone will come and enjoy this very fun and exciting time with your BLE family. Candy
donations are greatly appreciated and are an awesome way to support this event if you aren’t interested in decorating a car/parking space. Please send in candy donations labeled “Trunk or Treat” to the main office by October 24.

Inaugural Run with the Bruins

On October 21 @ 8 am we will have our Inaugural Run with the Bruins.
To make our race a success we are reaching out to our community to find sponsors. Partner opportunities are as follows:
• Bronze Level: $100 Sponsorship
Your Business/company name will be written on the back our shirt

• Silver Level: $300 Sponsorship
Your business company logo will be placed on the back of the shirt

• Gold Level: $500 Sponsorship
Your business/company logo will be larger than the Silver Level and place on the back of the shirt. *Advertising information, provided by company/business, will be placed inside our runner bags.

• Corporate Sponsor: $750 and up
Your business/company logo will be placed on the top of our shirt and be the largest logos on the shirt, *Advertising information, provided by the company, will be placed inside our runner bags as well. You will also receive to free wristbands that will allow you all access to games and bouncers at the carnival. If you would like to set up a booth at the carnival, the $50 fee will be waived and would love for you to have a little game for the children to play.

Go Jim Go

We will be selling hearts for Go Jim Go Sept. 5 through Sept. 15. Each heart costs $1.00. The student who has the most hearts will enjoy a movie and lunch with 2 friends. The winning student will also get to present Jim Jaggers the check on the day he rides through the school. The class who sells the most hearts wins a pizza and ice cream party.

Solar Eclipse Info

Bartlett City Schools is planning for its students to participate in the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. Bartlett City School has purchased and will supply solar eclipse viewing glasses for students. Click the link for more information including the appropriate letter and form for your child.



Parents,

On Monday, August 21, 2017, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun for the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse since 1918. Millions of Americans in 12 states will be able to watch this solar spectacle that will turn day into night for a couple of minutes. Tennessee is among the 12 states that have been declared to be a best place to experience this rare phenomenon.

Bartlett City Schools is planning for its students to participate in this event. BCS has purchased and will supply solar eclipse viewing glasses for students that participate in this event. Next week a permission slip for students to participate in this event will come home for K-8 students. Please sign and return all forms no later than August 17, 2017.

You will only need to send a form back for students in grades 9-12 if you DO NOT want your child to participate.

Also, more information about the day's events will be shared by your child's school.

BLES Cheer Team

BLES Cheer team

I have attached the interest form for the cheer team/club at Bon Lin Elementary. Mrs. Anderson and I are both sponsors of this team and would love to have your child involved. There are no tryouts and it is open for grades K-5. They will learn how to be a cheerleader, be organized, and have school spirit. They will perform at various activities and cheer at the home games of the 5th grade basketball team (2-3 games). Costs will be determined once we have a total number of participants. More information will come home via email, if you fill out an interest form.

If your child is interested, please fill out the attached interest form and return it to us by August 25th.

BCS System Wide In-Service

The BCS System wide in-service will begin at 8:30am at Bartlett Baptist Church on August 4th. School offices should be open again at 1:00pm to help our students and parents.
