Go Jim Go

We will be selling hearts for Go Jim Go Sept. 5 through Sept. 15. Each heart costs $1.00. The student who has the most hearts will enjoy a movie and lunch with 2 friends. The winning student will also get to present Jim Jaggers the check on the day he rides through the school. The class who sells the most hearts wins a pizza and ice cream party.

Solar Eclipse Info

Bartlett City Schools is planning for its students to participate in the Solar Eclipse on Monday, August 21. Bartlett City School has purchased and will supply solar eclipse viewing glasses for students. Click the link for more information including the appropriate letter and form for your child.


On Monday, August 21, 2017, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun for the first coast-to-coast total solar eclipse since 1918. Millions of Americans in 12 states will be able to watch this solar spectacle that will turn day into night for a couple of minutes. Tennessee is among the 12 states that have been declared to be a best place to experience this rare phenomenon.

Bartlett City Schools is planning for its students to participate in this event. BCS has purchased and will supply solar eclipse viewing glasses for students that participate in this event. Next week a permission slip for students to participate in this event will come home for K-8 students. Please sign and return all forms no later than August 17, 2017.

You will only need to send a form back for students in grades 9-12 if you DO NOT want your child to participate.

BLES Cheer Team

BLES Cheer team

I have attached the interest form for the cheer team/club at Bon Lin Elementary. Mrs. Anderson and I are both sponsors of this team and would love to have your child involved. There are no tryouts and it is open for grades K-5. They will learn how to be a cheerleader, be organized, and have school spirit. They will perform at various activities and cheer at the home games of the 5th grade basketball team (2-3 games). Costs will be determined once we have a total number of participants. More information will come home via email, if you fill out an interest form.

If your child is interested, please fill out the attached interest form and return it to us by August 25th.

The BCS System wide in-service will begin at 8:30am at Bartlett Baptist Church on August 4th. School offices should be open again at 1:00pm to help our students and parents.

2017-2018 Be Ready Day!

Be Ready Day for the 2017-18 School Year is August 1st from 8am-3pm. You’ll get to meet your child's teacher, purchase Spirit items, join the PTA, purchase supplies from the Book Store, get bus info, get a Car Tag, put money on your child’s breakfast/lunch account, drop off prescription medication to the nurse, and drop off school supplies to your child's new teacher. Bartlett Pre-Kindergarten Program Screening Information

Bartlett City Schools Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are at the following locations:
Bartlett Elementary, Oak Elementary, Rivercrest Elementary

Applications for the (2017-2018) school year will be accepted June 13-15, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following locations:
June 13, 2017: Oak Elementary for all elementary schools that are zoned Bartlett residents.
June 14, 2017: Rivercrest Elementary for all elementary schools that are zoned Bartlett residents.
June 15, 2017: Bartlett Elementary for all elementary schools that are zoned Bartlett residents.

The child being considered for Pre-K must attend when bringing your documentation on one of the selected dates.
Please bring your child with you and all documentation.
Funding for each program site is based on state and local grant funds decided each calendar year.

Movie Night!!

Grab your family, some blankets or chairs, and join the BLE family on the lawn for a family movie night! We will be playing the movie SING!, which was voted on by the BLE students. Movie will begin at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $20 (2-6) with $2 per extra person. Concessions available for purchase $1- Drinks, Candy, Popcorn (cash)

Tickets Available for pre-purchase through April 25th. Return the bottom portion of this flyer attached. Tickets will be sent home April 26th. Additional tickets will be available at the gate on April 28th. This is a RAIN or SHINE event. In case of Rain, the movie will be moved inside, and concessions will still be available.

Michael Shoulders author visit to BLE

We are excited to have Michael Shoulders at our school March 29th for K- 3rd grade. Mr. Shoulders’ books are great for all reading levels. There is the informational text in the side bars to develop the story line for older readers. In addition to the books listed on his flyer we have added the N is for Natural State an Arkansas Alphabet and Natural Numbers for $15.00 a piece.
