Mrs. Callender's Academic Resource/Intervention Class

Hello and welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Jessica Callender and I will be your son’s/daughter’s academic resource/intervention teacher this year at Bon Lin Elementary.

This will be my first year teaching in the elementary setting and I am excited to begin a new school year at Bon Lin Elementary! Go Bruins!!

This is my 11thyear of teaching special education. Previously, I have taught at Southwind High School, Bartlett High School, & Bartlett Freshman Academy. I’m a graduate of Christian Brothers University (undergrad) and University of Memphis (graduate). I’m married to Ricardo and we have a 2 year old, Ashlyn.

Our resource classroom will soon be in full swing and we will be working hard! My role in the classroom is to work on IEP goals, which are your child’s academic deficits.

Throughout the school year, I will send home various assignments for your child to complete to practice reading/math skills. Your child will have a separate Intervention folder for my class that will come home on occasions. Please complete assignments and sign the appropriate areas when needed.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Email is the quickest way to contact me. My email address is jcallender@bartlettschools.org or you can leave a message for me at school 937-2344. I look forward to a wonderful, productive year!

Classroom supplies (not mandatory but welcomed): #2 pencils, erasers, pair of Fiskar scissors, glue sticks, box of tissues, and hand sanitizers.

Thank you,

Jessica Callender
